Camping the way it should be!”

This is one of my favorite campgrounds – EVER. Spacious wooded sites, a beautifully natural and rustic feel. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we were next to our folks who we were traveling with. Our kids (4 and 6) loved the playground. Hiking nearby was gorgeous. I wish more campgrounds were like this! My only regret – not staying longer. Cannot wait to go back again next year – but for a longer stay!

We just got back from staying over Labor Day weekend. The owners were super friendly, helpful, and resourceful! They even came down to see if they could help us with our keys locked in our car! The campground is close to Baxter State park, and close to town. The sites are all spacious, the bathrooms were one of the cleanest I’ve been to, and the shower water pressure was strong. We have kids so their park area was perfect! There’s a big playground, volley ball area, pool, horse shoe, corn hole and a large field to run around. We were not even 10 miles out from leaving and our kids were already asking to stay there again. Without a doubt we will stay there again if we are able to make it back to Baxter!
best Campground EVER”

One of the biggest draws of the campsite was hot, FREE showers. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was impressive too. We also discovered that campground sites had been assigned by type of group – families in one section, young adults in another, so everyone got the experience they were looking for. Location was perfect (most importantaly only 20 minutes from baxter state park, also 5 minutes away from a grocery store which helps) and conveniently there is white water rafting that leaves right from campsite, which was a blast. Everywhere we went around town, locals reinforced the campsite’s great reputation. We even discovered our waitress at the River Driver restaurant was staying at Wilderness Edge for the summer as well.Overall a great experience, would recommend for all groups.
