Our Campground

ABOUT

Wilderness Edge Campground is a family-friendly campground located on Baxter State Park Rd./Millinocket Lake Rd., just north of Millinocket, Maine. We offer 32 RV Camping sites, 70 tent sites, 2 bunkhouses, and a tepee. Millinocket Lake Rd. leads to the South Entrance of Baxter State Park, making your access to the park quick and easy.  Spending the night with us at Wilderness Edge means you are only a short distance from many of the popular canoeing and kayaking sites in the Katahdin region and about 20 minutes from a white water rafting expedition on  the West Branch of the Penobscot River. The campground is owned and operated by Wendi Munson, who is originally from Friendship, ME and Marcel Langlois originally from Griswold, CT.

GPS navigation is N 45° 40.535 and W 068° 43.442. Best results for finding us is Mapquest.
Each of our RV sites has water and electric hook-ups, as well as its own picnic table and fire pit. Our tent sites have shared water hydrants that are conveniently located nearby. We are proud to offer free HOT showers and CLEAN restrooms. Outdoor sinks at each Bathhouse have hot and cold running water for cleaning dishware.  We take pride in our newly updated in-ground swimming pool, and new (2015) playground.  Come and relax at the pool and be able to watch your children happily playing on the playground located just a few feet away. We look forward to meeting you and making your trip to Northern Maine’s Katahdin Region the best memory possible.
